These Modular "Hobbit Houses" Can Be Assembled in Three Days

Have you ever wanted to live in a Hobbit House? Or maybe just be closer to nature? Now, with Green Magic Homes’ prefabricated houses, you can. Made with fiber re-enforced polymer modules, the homes can be customized, and take as few as three days to construct.

The structures “are weather resistant, non-corrosive, non-toxic, fire resistant, and produce no emissions.” Their green outer shells can be covered with almost any moderately sized plants, including vegetables and fruits, and provide insulation to keep the interior cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Moreover, the houses can be adapted for both warmer climates, with a sand and rock shell, as well as cooler climates, with a layer of earth meant to be covered with snow.

In construction, each panel of the house is screwed together along perforated flaps, and anchored to the foundation. At any point, composite ducts and channels for electrical wiring, water pipes, or mechanical ventilation ducts can be added to the shell.
